Bangladesh's leading cricketer Tamim Iqbal on Friday announced that his chapter in international cricket has come to an end.

The left-handed batsman recently met the national selection committee, which is preparing the Bangladesh side for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, and awaited his decision.

“I have been away from international cricket for quite some time now and the gap will not be closed. My chapter in international cricket is over,” Tamim wrote in a Facebook post on Friday.
