-Boston College opened the scoring 7:06 into the first period, when Gabe Perrault drained a one-time feed from James Hagens to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
– The Eagles doubled their lead early in the second period after a Jake Sondreal tip in front of the net, putting Boston College up 2-0.
-Providence got one back late in the second period, as Will Elger connected to a one-timer feed from Hudson Malinoski in the high slot, taking advantage of the power play opportunity just three seconds into the man advantage. Graham Gamache also collected an assist in the win in the face-off circle.
– Boston College regained their two-goal lead at 8:02 of the third period, when Ryan Leonard caught a chunk of a Lukas Gustafsson shot before putting it in the net on the power play.
