American tennis star responds to the Australian Open fans who booed her during the match against the home favorite

When the crowd at the Australian Open booed American tennis player Danielle Collins, she immediately interrupted them.

Collins, 31, blew kisses to the cheering crowd as she defeated Australian home favorite Destanee Aiava, 24, at Melbourne Park on January 16.

The tennis star also urged her opponents on by dramatically holding a hand to her ear.

At one point she shouted right back at the hecklers: grab a microphone and shouted: Thank you all! Thanks guys, I love you!

Collins later shared clips of these moments to her Instagram Story, set to Taylor Swift's songs Look What You Made Me Do and Megan Thee Stallion's Savage.

With her latest victory at the Australian Open, Collins advanced to the third round of the Open and will face fellow American tennis player Madison Keys on January 18.

After the game, Collins told reporters she loves to feed off the energy of the crowd, regardless of which side they are on.

She said all the cheering only made her more determined to win.

“I'm like, if I'm going to spend two and a half hours here and put up with all these people, I might as well take the bigger paycheck, right?” she said. And I really enjoyed doing that.

“It's a pretty cool concept, and obviously my professional career isn't going to last forever, so I remind myself every day when I have things like that, like, they pay my bills,” she also said.
