Ohio State OC Chip Kelly lashes out at Oregon Football for cheating
Ohio State offensive coordinator Chip Kelly took a jab at his former employer and one of the two opponents he had to beat Buckeyes this week on Saturday.
Kelly, who is in his first season at OSU, criticized the Ducks for intentionally taking a penalty during their 32-31 regular season victory over the Buckeyes in Eugene, Oregon, while praising his national championship opponent, Notre Dame.

They can double anyone they want, but they can't double everyone, Kelly said when talking about Notre Dame's coverage options for Monday's game. If they do, it is a punishment. They have too many guys on the field. And we've seen that before against a team, somewhere before in a game.
Kelly was referring to Oregon coach Dan Lanning, who sent off 12 players after a timeout. The Buckeyes faced a third-and-25 with 10 seconds left and needed about 15 yards to get into field goal range. The Buckeyes made a play, which resulted in an incompletion, but were given five yards for a penalty. Despite the distance gained, four precious seconds were lost.
Ohio State got revenge over Oregon in the CFP Rose Bowl, winning 41-21 to advance to the semifinals. The Ducks' need for guile to beat the Buckeyes the first time was a hot topic discussed with the team in preparation for the rematch.

Ohio State believes it would have beaten Oregon the first time if Lanning hadn't pulled off this trick.
Kelly coached at Oregon from 2009 to 2012 and led the Ducks to the 2011 BCS National Championship Game. Kelly had a 46-7 record with Oregon and won three Pac-12 championships during his tenure.
