Massachusetts Tennis kicks off 2025 with three games
Umass closed the regular season last year with a general record of 15-8 and a 4-1 score in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Minutewomen closed the season with an A-10 championship title and a trip to the first round of the NCAA tournament, for the first time since the 2016-2017 season.
At the end of the 2024 season, head coach Juancarlos Nunez was named A-10 Coach of the Year, while Daniëlle Hack With tabs A-10 Most Outstanding Performer. Moreover, Hack was placed in the All-Conference First Team and the A-10 All-Academic team of the competition. Beautiful juggling tractula joined Hack in the All-Conference First Team, as Ella Faessler ended up in the All-Conference Second Team.
Nunez was also announced as Wilson/Ita New England Region Coach of the Year, while assistant coach Hannah McColgan was named ITA Assistant Coach of the Year. Hack was selected as an Ita Senior Player of the Year and Jonglertrakul received the ITA Most Improved Player and Ita Player to Watch.
The tennis team also earned ITA All-Academic Team subjessions, in which eight members of the 2023-2024 team received the ITA Scholar-Athlete award. In the last ITA New England Regional Rankings, the MinuteWomen achieved the very first ranking of No. 6 in the region. Hack ended up at number 7 in the ITA New England regional singles Rankings, while Hack and Jonglertrakul were number 5 in the ITA New England Regional Doubles Rankings.
The Minutewomen return five members of the 2023-2024 team, including seniors Mariana Campino,, ” Renata Farima and Jonglertrakul, Junior Faessler and second -year Amelia Tye. The Maroon and White added a junior transfer Trinity Calinescuwhile two first -year students were added Our Makhanya And Martin Pavissich.
