Who the rattlers will play this fall
Florida A&M Football's 2025 schedule has not yet been released.
But the Rattlers Slate for next season can be combined.
FAMU has usually played 11 or 12 regular season games in recent years. Eight of the Rattlers games were in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
FAMU's 2025 football season will be the second year with James Colzie III as head coach.
Which FAMU football matches have already been released?
Two of the Rattlers 2025 opponents have released their schedules for next season.

Football Bowl Subdivision Team South Alabama has scheduled FAMU for an Aug. 30 matchup. The rattlers are not in that game, however, per sources.
Famu will be at home on September 13 to play against NCAA Division II HBCU Albany State at Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium. These teams last met in 2022, when the Rattlers won 23-13 at Bragg.
Albany states that Famus head coach is former record-setting quarterback Quinn Gray, who is in his third season with the Golden Rams. The FAMU Sports Hall of Famer also spent 2011 to 2014 as FAMUS Associate Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach.
The Rattlers return to Baton Rouge for their home-and-home SWAC game versus the Southern Jaguars. In 2024, Famu defeated Southern 24-6 at Bragg Stadium to knock off one of its longest-standing rivals for the fifth straight time.
The last time Southern Beat Famu was in the 2012 Atlanta Football Classic, which ruled 21-14.
What could be new about the FAMU 2025 football schedule?
Since joining the SWAC in 2021, FAMU has played 10 of the other 11 teams in the league.
The lone team FAMU hasn't met since coming to the SWAC is Alcorn State.
Famu can play against Alcorn State Braveswho play in the SWAC West Division. The last time the Rattlers and Braves played was in 1987 when Alcorn won 17-15.
For the first time since 2018, Jackson State comes to Bragg Stadium to face the Rattlers. When Famu joined the SWAC, IT and Jackson State played at a neutral site for Miami's Orange Blossom Classic from 2021 to 2023.
Last season, Famu vs. Jackson State became a traditional home game, with the Tigers defeating the Rattlers 35-21.
The Orange Blossom Classic has not yet released its 2025 matchup. Can Famu return to the annual competition after a year's hiatus?
When is Famu's Homecoming Football game? What about the Florida Classic vs Bethune-Cookman?
Famu has not yet announced its homecoming dates.
In recent years, however, the Rattlers have played their Homecoming football game around Halloween. If past seasons are any indicator, there's a chance FAMU will host its homecoming football game on Nov. 1.
As for the Florida Classic Rivalry Game between FAMU and Bethune-Cookman, no date has been announced yet. But the Florida Classic is usually played the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Look for the Rattlers versus the Wildcats to play in Orlando on November 22nd.
When does SWAC, HBCU postseason football start?
The SWAC Championship is scheduled for December 6. The team with the best SWAC record will host the game.
The winner of the SWAC title game will play the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Champion in the Celebration Bowl to determine the Black College Football National Champion.
The Celebration Bowl will likely be on December 13 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
