Reding and Bergeron Vegen CAA weekly tennis prices
Richmond, va. Elon University Sophomore Mary Reding was called the CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while Reding and Sophomore Simone Bergeron Coupled for CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week too.
As a team, Elon opened the spring of 2025 with a 3-1 record, including victories on Liberty, Longwood and Bellarmine. Reding went 3-1 at number 4 singles, including an important 6-3, 7-5 victory over Liberty Sadie Daavettila in a 4-3 team victory over the Flames. She rolled past Longwood's Phoebe Mitchell, 6-2, 6-1, and Bellarmine's Reese Parker, 6-3, 6-0. She closed the weekend with a strong performance in a loss for Accuven Wake-forest, fell 6-3, 6-4 to Kady Tannenbaum.
Likewise, Reding and Bergeron went double at number 2 with 3-1, including the Double Point for the Phoenix twice. They did this with a heavily fought 7-6 (3) victory over Longwood's Alexandra Magia and Feline van Eijkelenburg and defeated Bellarmine's Marika Caruk and Nikola Kollaritsch, 6-4. Against Liberty, the duo stood at the top of Yu-Yun Chen and Daavettila, 6-4. The only loss of the team came against Nevena Carton and Tannenbaum from Wake Forest.
