Public encouraged to compete in 23 massive participation events at 15th national competitions

The 15th National Games This fall, 23 massive participation competitions will present that are designed to encourage ordinary people to participate, in addition to 34 competitive events for athletes.

The massive participation events relate to 19 competitive sports, such as table tennis, badminton, tennis, football and basketball. In addition to bowling, nine of the massive participation competitions Seven-a-Side Football, Gateball, Broadcast Gymnastics, Light Volleyball, Go, ShuttleCock, Table Tennis, Sailboat modeling and basketball are still open for public registration.

National sports clubs and relevant organizations offer free selections or objective technical tests to identify eligible athletes of the public to represent the special administrative region in the massive participation games.

The final rounds of the massive participation events will take place in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao from May to November.

The top three competitors in every sport are awarded gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while the top eight athletes receive certificates; Winners of the demonstration event receive one first prize, three seconds prizes and four third prizes, as well as certificates and medals.

The prices also include plaques for excellent organizations, while all final participants receive e-certificates.
