Clinical relevance:
Coaches are vital in assessing the possibilities of athletes to sharpen the right skills for the best results. Visual skills play an important role in player performance and can be emphasized by coaches because the physical, mental and visual health status of the players is considered an essential element for improving performance in sport.
Background:
It is assumed that if a coach has expertise in a certain sport in all aspects, he will be more successful in complying with the needs of the player. Various studies show that the physical and mental health of players is of great importance in their sports performance that can be achieved through the knowledge of a coach of health and expertise together with sports training.
Methodology:
The study was conducted using a self -structured questionnaire and spread over 52 coaches together with the information sheet.
Result:
The coaches had an average age of 37.94 8.76 years, with 16 (30.8%) women and 36 (69.2%) men. The coaches had 6.54 3.25 years of experience. Training at the national level was more common, which represents 26 (50%) of the events, followed by training at state level with 15 (28.8%) of events and training at district level with only 11 (21.2%) of the events. Only 25% of the coaches had heard of the term 'visual skills' and the remaining 75% was not aware of this period. A comparison test was applied and discovered that there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups with regard to their level of consciousness. The P-Value in the analysis turned out to be greater than 0.05 (P > 0.05) during the answers of the questionnaire.
Conclusion:
The current study concludes that there is a need for educational and consciousness programs for coaches of the role of visual skills in sport and how they can improve the performance and safety of the athlete.
