AFF blocks Cricket Australia Bid to play Sheffield Shield Final at Adelaide Oval | Offspring
Cricket Australia has been disappointed after the AFS access to Adelaide Oval was priority on the hope of the South Australian cricketers to organize the final of Sheffield Shield at the Premier location of the States.
The final of the domestic Red-Ball competition of the gentlemen will be held instead in Karen Rolon Oval, on the western edge of the city, from March 26. The AFF has rights on the ground every year from 15 March.
Cricket Australia, Chief Executive Todd Greenberg, who took over from Nick Hockley this month, said that the sport was excluded from access to the land for the proposed Midden Week match between Afg-Rondes.
We are disappointed that South Australia would host the final of Sheffield Shield in Adelaide Oval, said Greenberg.
