Hockey fights reaches nauseating new depth
Hockey fights usually bear the risk of injury or danger to those involved, but it is rare that more serious accidents occur. Unfortunately, one fight led to a player who needed medical help.
In a Western Hockey League match -played at the big junior level (16-20 -year -old) -between the Tri -City Americans and the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday, a few skaters faced a fight.
Ashton Cumby from Seattle and Tri-City's Terrell Goldsmith Kwadraten in the Midden IJs in the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington and the players started to exchange mass strokes early in the second period.
Cumby started to insist on Goldsmith -to the point where the Tri -City star had let his helmet fly.
Cumby then supplied a cruel right hand who left his opponent on the ice and had civil servants come in to break it out.
One civil servant does a double take and speeds up to help Goldsmith while two Tri-City players help someone on the medical staff to get to the ice within a few seconds after his collapse.

Tri-City players helped medical staff on the ice to tend to Goldsmith, with an ambulance that arrived later to transport him to the hospital. The team says that the player is now awake.
According to reports, a puddle of blood began to form on the ice cap and some fans say that he seemed to show signs of an attack.
In the end, an ambulance and goldsmith were transported to the hospital.
Both teams were sent to their respective changing rooms after the incident before the WHL eventually fell the match because of the emergency situation – with plans to continue to play at a later date.
Tri-City released a statement the following afternoon and said: 'Terrell Goldsmith will stay in the hospital this morning under observation. On arrival at the hospital last night he was awake, responsive and in good mood. The Tri-City Americans appreciate the words of concern and support for goldsmith. We will continue to update his status. '
Goldsmith, a 19-year-old from British Columbia, was a fourth round pick from the Utah Hockey Club in 2023 (when they were known as the Arizona Coyotes).
