Bayawan City, Negros Oriental – The Cebu City Niños confirmed their dominant reign in the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraraa) after they have successfully defended their general championship, since the meeting was concluded on Sunday 16 March.
Cebu City again showed its athletic supremacy and collected a total of 105 gold, 89 silver and 73 bronze medals to exceed both the elementary and secondary divisions. The basic team delivered a 36-28-26 count, while the secondary team contributed a 69-61-47 Trek.
Despite their impressive achievements, the Niños did not survive the total of 118 gold, 73 silver and 78 bronze medals when they organized the meeting.

However, they provided a strong finish and added 72 gold medals to the penultimate and final days of competition.
Second general
The province of Bohol had a breakthrough campaign and last year climbed to second place with a medal kite of 61-51-79. The province of Cebu, which finished fifth in 2024, took steps to claim third place with a 42-40-79 Trek. Dumaguete City, last year's second-year student, settled in fourth place with 36-45-40, while Mandaue City fell 31-43-56 to the fifth.
The Niños sealed their title defense with a series of victories on the last day.

Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) has powered the Cebu City football teams to two gold medals, while the Secondary Girls Futsal Squad also took the main prize home.
The shuttlers and paddlers from Cebu City added three gold to badminton and table tennis, while the Arnisadors claimed three more gold in combat events. In Taekwondo, the Niños made four gold medals in Kyorugi (sparring), and their secondary boy's volleyball team staffed by the baby Panthers from the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) came to the fore as champions.
