Quadri Aruna now Afrikas Highly ranked table tennis star

Nigerias Quadri Aruna has reached a new milestone in his career and becomes Afrikas highly ranked table tennis player in the latest ITTF rankings released on Tuesday.

Quadri Aruna, who was previously in 19th place, moved to 18th place and caught up in Egypt Omar Assar, who slipped from the 17th to 19th. Denmark Jonathan Groth claimed the 17th place and pushed Assar down in the ranking.

Despite the second place in the ITTF Africa Cup 2025, Arunas Stellar versions in WTT tournaments have stimulated its worldwide status. He remains the only African male player who has reached the semi-final of the WTT participant Doha, an achievement that he has now achieved twice, in 2023 and again in January 2024.
