MSU Hockey is preparing to host Ohio State for Big Ten Tournament title.
What:No. 1 Michigan State (25-6-4, 15-5-4 Big ten) versus no. 9 Ohio State (24-12-2, 14-9-1 Big ten) in the Big Tournament Final

TV/Radio:The game can be viewed on the Big Ten network and streamed on the FOX Sports app. WJIM 1240 AM will wear the game on the radio.
Series of all time: MSU leads the all-time series 103-58-13 and is 50-23-7 in games that are played in Munn. MSU won three of the four meetings this season, with the Buckeyes Win once at home ice.
Coaches: MSU coach Adam Nightingale is 68-34-9 in its third season behind the Spartan bank. OSU coach Steve Rohlik is 221-175-45 in his 12th season as the Buckeye coach and was named the Big Ten-Coach of the year 2024-25.
Msu -update: The Spartans are going to Notre Dame on Saturday in a tight 1-0 BIG and the semi-final. Junior Vooruit Isaac Howard, who was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, scored the only goal of the game on a Power Play early in the third period.
“It was a good weekend. Our boys stayed there, and I think that's the message for our boys in the future,” said Nightingale. “Play -off hockey is difficult, and you can't expect that it is offensive. We had to work for it and we did not deviate and that is a good memory of the end of how to play in the future.

“Now a good Ohio State team comes in here, a lot of respect for their team and program, and they are well coached,” Nightingale added. “They play similar to us and have a lot of depth and good goalkeepers, but enthusiastic about our boys who still have a chance to play at Munn.”
Holding the shutout against Notre Dame was second -year Trey Augustine de Big Ten -target of the year and a Mike Richter Award finalist. Howard, Augustinus and Junior Defender Matt Basgall were all voted for the All-Big Ten first team, while Junior attacker Karsen Dorwart received honorable mention.
MSU and Osu played in Munn in the first conference weekend of the season at the beginning of November, so it was a while since the Buckeyes came to East Lansing. Junior -attacker Daniel Russell has three goals against OSU this season, while Howard and second -year attacker Gavin O'Connell have two goals and an assist in four games.
Scouting the Buckeyes: After removing Wisconsin in three games in the BIG for quarterfinals, OSU and Streken skated Penn State in an exciting Big half -final in which Buckeye transmission by Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scored the Osu to send OSU to the title game.
“We are enthusiastic. It has been a great season so far, but the most important part of it is here, and we all finished for it,” said MSU Junior attacker Charlie Stramel. “We are ready to take this momentum of the year in the play -offs and to have some success.”
Fontaine leads Osu with 16 goals and 23 assists, while Forward Riley Thompson de Buckeyes leads with 17 goals. Forwards Davis Burnside and Max Montes have double digits for OSU, with 14 and 13 respectively.
Goalkeeper Logan Terness has handled the net tasks for OSU in the late season and has one. 925 savings percentage and 2.35 goals against average in 23 starts.
