Herentennis continues Hot Streak with 7-0 win over Chattanooga
Birmingham, Ala. The Tennis team of Samford won his fifth consecutive victory with an impressive 7-0 win over Chattanooga on Friday afternoon in the Samford Tennis Center.
With the victory, Samford improved his seasonal record to 14-4 general and 4-0 in Southern Conference Play. Chattanooga fell to 10-8 in general and 1-1 in competition game.
Samford wiped the three double games to take an early 1-0 lead.
The Bulldogs then wiped the six singles matches, with five in straight sets, to end the 7-0 win. At number 1 singles, Sandep Mohandoss Jakub Jupa, 6-3, 6-2. On the number 2 Singles Court, Darcy Nicholls Earned a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Gabriel Castillo. At No. 3 Singles, Hayden goes Defeated Cortland Grove, 6-2, 6-4.
On the number 4 Singles Court, JB Pickard Ryan Mudre, 6-3, 6-2. At No. 5 Singles, Sebastian Harrison Kristof Treasure, 6-3, 6-1. At No. 6 Singles, Santiago Arredondo Ethan Carr, 6-4, 6-3.
Samford then hosts UNC Greensboro on Saturday 29 March. The competition is set for a start of 12.00 from the Samford Tennis Center.
