Blue Jays Open Season in Ithaca on September 6
Baltimore, MD Johns Hopkins football coach And WodickA announced the Blauwe Jays' 2025 schedule today. The 10-game regular seasonal schedule of the Blue Jays contains seven Centennial Conference Games, three non-conference matches and five games at Homewood Field.
The Blue Jays opens the season on Saturday 6 September in Ithaca to start a three-game non-conference run that also contains matches against John Carroll and Susquehanna. The three non-conference opponents of Johns Hopkins combined to post a record of 27-9 (.750) last season, with Susquehanna on to the NCAA-Halve Final and John Carroll who was on his way to the second round of the NCAA play-offs.
After a weekly week, the Blue Jays Centennial Conference Play will open at home on Friday 3 October when they welcome Dickinson in Baltimore. A week later, Carnegie Mellon, which has joined the Centennial as an affiliate member for football only, will visit Homewood Field for the first time since 2004. Johns Hopkins will cap its three-game homestand against Ursinus on October 18. With back-to-back games against Carnegie Mellon and Ursinus capping The First Six Games on the Schedule, the Blue Jays Will Play Four of Their First Six Games Against Teams That Advanced To The Ncaa Play-Offs in 2024 and the combined record of the first six opponents of Hopkins was 51-19 (.729) last season.
The Blue Jays play three of their last four games on the road traveling to Gettysburg, Muhlenberg and Franklin & Marshall compensated by a home game against McDaniel. For the first time since 1979, Johns Hopkins will not close the regular season against McDaniel as the addition of Carnegie Mellon to the Centennial required an adjustment of the schedule.
Johns Hopkins posted a 12-2 record, won the Centennial Conference title and went on to the NCAA-Halve Final during the first season of Wodicka in 2024.
