Domestennis beats Nicholls – UTRGV Athletics
Thibodaux, La. The tennis team of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (Utrgv) Vaqueroswomen defeated the Nicholls Colonels, 6-1, Monday in a Southland Conference (SLC) match in the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex.
Utrgv (7-6, 4-2 SLC) started strongly through the double point. The colonels (2-9, 0-4 SLC) won the first double match on the third court, after which the Vaqueros returned. The Vaqueros are back in action 5 April at 1 p.m. in the Orville Cox Tennis Center to face Lamar. UTRGV celebrates Senior Day before the competition.
