Hockey Australia and Hockey Queensland proudly welcome the historic announcement of today's 100-day review, which confirm the Gold Coast Hockey Center as the official location for Hockey at the Brisbane Olympic Games in 2032.
The decision, announced by the government of Queensland today, ensures that hockey will have a lasting inheritance outside the stage of the Brisbane Games.
It follows four years of collective campaigns for a cost -effective and sustainable solution for the sport, and it will see large international hockey events return to Queensland, since the center becomes the only hockey location in the condition of an international standard.
David Pyles, CEO of Hockey Australia, says that today's announcement is a groundbreaking moment for hockey in Australia.
“By using the Gold Coast Hockey Center again, we now have a clear path to bring international hockey back to Queensland before 2032 and then.
