Tennis edges Lipscomb 4-3 in exciting road victory
Nashville, Tenn. The Tennis Team of the University of Central Arkansas has obtained a hard-fought 4-3 victory over LipsComb on Sunday afternoon in the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center. The victory marks UCA's first Asun conference -victory of the season.
Despite the drop of the double point, the Sugar Bears (8-9, 1-3 Asun) fought back in Singles play and took four of the six games to win the victory. Konomi Miyakawa delivered a coupling performance at the No. 3 Singles place, which gathered for a 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Rut Galindo. Harune Shigemasu A starting victory added at No. 4, while Deborah Collado 6-4, 6-3 defeated, while Ting-an chen And Seohyn Park also caused crucial victories to raise UCA to victory.
In Doubles, UCA's top duo from Vimuktananda and Miyakawa achieved a 6-3 victory, but Lipscomb (8-5, 2-2 Asun) took the other two games to claim the double point.
With the victory, UCA Momentum is building on the way to the next piece of Asun game. The Sugar Bears will wear this energy this Friday at 11 am in their upcoming home game in their upcoming home game
