Herentennis uses Singles wins to bring Longwood down
After Longwood won the Doubles point, W&M (4-8) bounced back with four singles victories to achieve the comeback victory. Junior Albert Hansen achieved the victory with a coupling victory at number 4. Sophomore Oliver Hague (No. 2) and first -year students Gur Trakhtenberg (No. 1) and Once Katz (No. 6) Singles held wins in the victory of the tribe.
How it happened
– In Dubbel, Senior Sean Joseph And Trakhtenberg placed a 6-3 victory over Petar Belosevic and Petter Lindquist at number 2. The duo improved to 4-2 in the year.
-Longwood (5-7) prevented victories over number 1 and no. 3 to secure the double point and a 1-0 lead.
-In Singles, Hague quickly buttoned the game with a starting victory over number 2 .. Returning to the line-up for the first time in a month, he achieved a 6-4 commander, 6-1 victory over Belosevic. Hague went on to 12-9 in Singles Play.
-After a Longwood victory at number 3, Katz quickly tied the game on two with a Come-From-Behind three-set victory over number 6. After dropping the opening set in a tie graker, he bounced back by winning 12 of the last 13 games in the last two sets, 6-1, 6-0. Katz recorded his 10th victory of the year.
– W & M's No. 1 Singles player Gur Trakhtenberg Expansion of the tribe led to 3-2 with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Timeo Puech. Trakhtenberg noted his fourth victory in first place and his 15th general.
-Hansen achieved the Triumph team with a 7-6 (5), 7-5 victory over Alejandro Uribe at number 4. With Hansen's seventh victory of the year, the tribe achieved a 4-3 victory despite the lancers who won at Hof 5.

The tribe goes up this weekend for two CAA competitions. W&M will play in Campbell on Friday 28 March at 3 p.m., before traveling to Elon on Sunday 30 March at 11 a.m.
