Womens Tennis Nederlinters visit Denver
NEW YORK The 71st ranking order Columbia Women's Tennis Team returned to the Win-Kolom on Wednesday evening with a 4-2 victory over Denver in the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center.
After they had fallen into the double matches on the pioneers (6-9), the Lions (9-6) won the victory thanks to strong play in the singles matches.
Denver took the early lead, thanks to a few victories in the double point. Du's Andrea Beltran and Marley Lampert defeated Columbia's duo Fatima Keita And Malak El Allami6-0, in those. Sophia Wang And Emily Baek The pioneer duo of Hana Novak/Natalie Cinkova, 6-1, even beat the things on 1-1. Denver claimed the point when Louise Wikander and Claudia defeated Velasco Gayathri Krishnan And Sophia struggle 6-2.
El Allami and Baek received the momentum back in the Lions -Funst with straight sets to open the singles matches. El Allami achieved Andrea Beltran 6-4, 6-1 in the number 1, while Baek Novak defeated 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 5 place. Krishnan moves Columbia a point closer to winning with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Louise Wikander at number 2.
Denver got a point back when Cinkova defeated Salma Farhat 7-6, 6-4 at the no. 6 place. Winta Tewolde took the team victory with a great finish and defeated Marly Lambert 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 4 place. Sophia Wangs Match against Claudia Velasco did not go off.
