Payas Jain Verbijsts Sathiyan Gnanasekaran in the first round

Payas Jain produced one of the greatest disruptions in the WTT -Sterrender Chennai 2025Knock -Out Olympian Sathiyan Gnanasekaran In the men's singles round of 64 with a 3-1 (11-8, 2-11, 11-8, 11-3) victory on Thursday.

World No. 220 Payas Jain, 20, is a former ITTF Youth World No. 1 in the U-17 category, while the 32-year-old G Sathiyan, arranged 101, a commonwealth games and Asian Games medal winner.

Later in the day, Indian table tennis legend Sharath Kamal Started his farewell event with a 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 12-10) victory over the qualification Anirban Ghosh in the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.
