Republic Bank and Cricket West -India remain support for the development of the juvenile cricket in Grenada

St. Georges, Grenada Republic Bank is proud of the continuation of its partnership with Cricket West India for the RBL Five for a fun cricket program at primary schools in Grenada. This marks the second consecutive year of this exciting cricket initiative.
Launch in 2024 with the support of the Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) and the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, Five for Fun has been designed to be both educational and entertaining, and offers students from 8 to 12 years of 30 primary schools the opportunity to learn the basis of cricket in a fun and supporting environment.
By giving priority to pleasure and participating in the competition, the program introduces young players in the joys of the game, while at a young age it promotes important life skills, such as leadership, cooperation and communication.
Chris Dehring, Chief Executive Officer of Cricket West -India, emphasized the significance of the continued investments of the Republic of Banks in the development of cricket in the base:

With reference to CWIS preparation in Grenada and Carriacou for the RBL Five for the launch of the program, CWI director of Cricket Miles Bascombe emphasized the importance of coaching and structured development:
Our coaches are an important strategic pillar to ensure that our objectives for this program are supplied with cricket sessions that are impactful, pleasant, progressive, player -oriented, contemporary and aware of the needs of each player.
As the main partner and stakeholder, CWI has continued his efforts to organize pre-programming workshops and refresher courses in Grenada and other guest areas to ensure that our coaches and related support staff not only have sufficient capacity in cricket, but also in child protection and safety, to teach the knowledge of the game in a way of the game.
Positioned as part of Cwis Rising Stars program and path, the five for Fun Cricket Program will be performed in six zones in Grenada and Carriacou, with 2024s Five for Fun Champions, Crochu RC School, planned to participate and defend their title in this year's program.
As part of the sponsorship, Republic Bank will also provide participants with Merktokens and Certificates of Participation, with the winning team this year receiving gift vouchers for Startup Republic Bank – RightStart accounts.
