Dr. Kishore Superficial and Azim Bassarath returned as president and vice president of Cricket West India

St. Johns, Antigua Cricket West -India (CWI) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kishore Sallow has been sent back as president, where Azim Bassarath continues as a vice president, after the annual General Meeting (AGM) that is held today in the St. James Club in Antigua and Barbuda. Both were not against each other and will start with a new three -year term, immediately in force.
In a unanimous mood, all areas supported shallow and won twelve (12) voices, while Bassarath received the support of four areas and gained eight (8) votes.
This marks the first three -year period among CWIs who have recently implemented the reform of governance, which introduces periods to improve the accountability and sustainability in the long term. The AVA was attended by all shareholders of the members who represented Barbados, Leeward Islands, Jamaica, Guyana, Windward Islands and Trinidad & Tobago.
Dr. Sallow, a Vincentian IT and business consultant, adopted for the first time in 2023 and is paramount in transformational changes within CWI, aimed at modernization of governance, powerful development and strengthening the involvement of stakeholders. After his confirmation, he expressed gratitude for the constant trust placed in his leadership and confirmed his dedication to progress.
Vice -President Bassarath, who also serves as president of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board, promised his continuous support for shallow and the wider CWI leadership team while starting this new term.
Cricket West Indies is expanding its appreciation to all its members and stakeholders for their continuous effort, while the organization continues its mission to develop and promote cricket in the region.
