Registration Open for USTA Florida & Aapita Community Tennis Day
In honor of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Saturday 3 May USTA Florida and the Asian-American Pacific Islander Tennis Association (AAPITA) come together to organize a special community day in the Lake Cane Tennis Center.
This fun and inclusive event is open to everyone and is intended to form community connections and to celebrate diversity in tennis sport. The day starts some light activities, social tennis game, followed by a short break and cultural showcase round the morning. The highlight of the day is the AAPI panel and the Q&A session in the afternoon and offers the possibility to hear first -hand experiences from influential voices in the AAPI tennis community. Trishna Patel, Tracy Singian, Ronit Karki and Vania King will all become members of the panel.
Aapi Heritage Month is a time to recognize and honor the rich cultural contributions, history and performance of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. By combining sport with a cultural party, this event offers a unique space where families and individuals can come together to play, learn and make connection.
In addition, the Bollywood dancers event will contain that will lead the participants in a cultural dance workshop.
