Somerset Wicketkeeper-Batter James Rew has been added to England Men's Test Squad for the match against Zimbabwe.
Somerset Batter James Rew was set up in English Mens Test Squad Prior to the upcoming Rothesay match match against Zimbabwe, which will start on 22 May at Trent Bridge.
Rew replaces Essexs Jordan Cox, who is excluded after storing an abdominal muscle injury while he hit Somerset in the final round of the Rothesay County Championship.
This is the first senior call-up in England for the 21-year-old, who has been in excellent form for Somerset in this year's provincial championship. REW is currently an average of 54.21 with the bat, including a highest score of 152.
A product of the English Lionspad, Rew toured last winter with the Lions with the Lions and was a key figure in the young lion's side that reached the ICC U19 World Cup final in 2022, next to the current internationals Rehan Ahmed and Jacob Bethell.
REW will join the test team next week in their pre-series Training Camp when preparations start before the start of the international summer.
