Colorado Springs, Colo. – USA Field Hockey is proud to announce the 2025 class of the Hall of Fame. This class honors five people who have played an important role in the development and support of sport in the United States during their long career and are all initiated as contributors.
Included in this year's class Dr. Judith Davidson” Tom Harris” Beverly Johnson” Jen ShillingfordAnd Sharon Taylor. All five of these people have served in several positions for both American field hockey and other organizations that have formed the future of sport in the United States.
“I am delighted to welcome these five Inductees in the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame as contributors, said Simon Hoskins, USA Field Hockey's executive director. Judith, Tom, Beverly, Jen and Sharon are all pioneers of our sport to help the organization form today.
USA Field Hockey will formally honor these legends of the game during an event in the Philadelphia area in December.
Since its foundation in 1988, the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame has recognized individuals who have achieved international success and have made important contributions to the organization. In 2024, two new categories, coaches and officials were added to the Hall of Fame. The honorary doctorate category was retired and replaced by employee. Those who have been chosen as honorary members in the Hall of Fame will keep the title, but those who are included in the 2024 class and beyond will be contributors. These extra categories and changes enable USA Field Hockey to recognize all members who have made important contributions to sports and American field hockey. The USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame now includes athletes, coaches, officials and contributors.
In the run -up to the celebration, a biography about each of these deserved Honorees will be shown on the website of the USA Field Hockeys.
