ITTF World Para Circuit 2026 Calendar Revealed

ITTF has unveiled the 2026 ITTF World Para Circuit calendar, featuring a circuit of more than 20 events across six continents as the sport enters a historic centenary year for the ITTF.

With the inaugural revamped ITTF World Para Circuit coming to an end this month, anticipation is building towards an ambitious 2026 season that will culminate in the ITTF World Para Table Tennis Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, a fitting celebration as the ITTF celebrates 100 years of table tennis.

The 2026 season has special significance for Para table tennis, with the sport taking a prominent role in the ITTF centenary celebrations. The annual calendar reflects the organisation's commitment to the development of para sport, with the three-tier circuit structure that has proven so successful in its first year.

The proven Future, Challenger and Elite format returns for 2026, providing clear pathways for athlete development and progression. The top level consists of five Elite tournaments strategically placed across the calendar, starting with Lasko, Slovenia (May 11-15) and Taipei City, Chinese Taipei (May 17-21), followed by Beijing, China (June 24-28), Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand (July 18-22), and ending with Yvelines, France (October 29 – November 2).

The Elite Series offers the sport's top athletes consistent, high-level competition all year round, leading up to the World Championships in November. Six Challenger events provide crucial development opportunities and ranking points, starting in March with back-to-back tournaments in Wladyslawowo, Poland (March 11-14) and Lignano, Italy (March 18-21). The Challenger circuit continues with So Paulo, Brazil (April 23-26), Podgorica, Montenegro (April 29-May 3), Lasko, Slovenia (May 5-9) and Kefalonia, Greece (October 12-15).

Nine Future tournaments on five continents ensure accessibility for developing athletes, with the season opener in Gold Coast, Australia (February 16-18). The Future circuit then travels to Costa Brava, Spain (March 26-29), Yalova, Turkey (April 2-5) and South America for back-to-back events in Santiago, Chile (April 14-16) and Buenos Aires, Argentina (April 18-20). The European summer includes Amman, Jordan (June 4-6) and Ostrava, Czech Republic (June 18-20), while Asia hosts events in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand (July 13-16). The Future series ends in Lahti, Finland (August 28-30).

All roads lead to Pattaya, Thailand, where the ITTF Para Table Tennis World Championships will take place in November 2026. This edition of the Championships has special significance as it coincides with the centenary celebrations of the ITTF and will include full gender equality for the first time, with 165 male and 165 female athletes competing. The timing creates perfect symmetry as the ITTF celebrates 100 years of table tennis and the ITTF World Para Championships will demonstrate how far the sport has evolved in terms of inclusivity and excellence.

The 2026 calendar shows a remarkable global reach, with events in Asia (China, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Jordan, Japan), Europe (Poland, Italy, Slovenia, France, Spain, Turkey, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Greece, Finland), Americas (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia) and Oceania (Australia). This geographic diversity ensures that athletes from all regions have accessible competitive opportunities year-round. The circuit events throughout 2026 will provide crucial ranking points as athletes try to secure their place at the sport's top meeting. The new ranking system, which calculates points based on athletes' six best results from the past year, ensures consistent performance is rewarded throughout the season.

Thailand receives special recognition in the calendar as it hosts both a Future and Elite event in Nakhon Ratchasima in July, providing perfect preparation for hosting the World Championships later in the year. This dual hosting opportunity allows Thailand to demonstrate its exceptional organizational capabilities while providing athletes with valuable experience competing in the host country ahead of the championships.

The 2026 calendar builds on the foundations laid during the inaugural redesigned circuit in 2025.
