Big 12 football schedule 2020: Latest news, standings, odds, COVID-19 plans for teams and fans in stadiums

A week later, 11 more to go. The Big 12’s opening weekend didn’t go exactly as planned, with the league winning a whopping 0-for-3 against the Sun Belt and Texas Tech getting the most out of Houston Baptist. That’s a bad look for the conference, but keep in mind that it also reflects how shaky it can get with a disrupted low season. At least it showed how much separation there is between Oklahoma, Texas … and everyone else. But we won’t get a better feel for the Big 12’s pecking order until the conference plays on Sept. 26. Week 3 of the season is light for the Big 12 with only two games scheduled.

As Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby has said repeatedly, disruptions can and will occur. The Big 12 has built extra open weeks into its 10 game schedule to try AND absorb for said disruptions. Meanwhile, the Big 12 Championship Game is scheduled for December 12, but can be moved back to December 19.

Playing football in these circumstances is a story that is constantly evolving. Here’s everything you need to know about the current state of the 2020 Big 12 college football season. Bookmark this page and check back often.

Three major storylines for the Big 12 in 2020

  1. Can Oklahoma offense be reloaded? If you win five consecutive Big 12 championships, finish at or near the top of the country annually when scoring an attack, and back-to-back Heisman Trophy produces winning quarterbacks plus another runner-up, you have the advantage of the doubt deserved. Still, Oklahoma is coming in 2020 with more questions about violation. It breaks in another quarterback – Spencer Rattler – and lost Jadon Haselwood at least the first few games with an injury. The declining group has also been hit by unsubscribing (Kennedy Brooks), transfer (Trey Sermon) and suspension (Rhamondre Stevenson). That’s a lot of turnover in the skill positions. As blessed as the Sooners may be with an ever-flowing shame of blue-chip prospects turned superstars, it’s fair to wonder at least if this offense will finally abate. And whether that would turn out to be just expensive enough.
  2. Will Oklahoma State Finally Play Spoiler? Considering all that has been written above, there is a certain “if not now, when?” atmosphere going on in the state in Stillwater. This is probably as good a team as Mike Gundy has had in Oklahoma State in a decade – and maybe someday. Falling back Chuba Hubbard and receiver Tylan Wallace are among the best in the country in their respective positions. And with a 7/1 chance, the cowboys are trendy dark horse picks to win the Big 12. Can the Cowboys finally get over the Bedlam bump on their way to a new Big 12 title – and maybe a College Football berth?
  3. Racial justice is central. Perhaps no conference had more headlines about our country’s current landscape than the Big 12. The biggest, easily, was Gundy’s OAN kerfuffle, which almost led to Hubbard, one of the country’s top players, out all season. . Gundy, Hubbard and the rest of the Oklahoma State team seem to have cleared the underlying tensions, but trusting locker rooms will be an ongoing storyline throughout the year. At TCU, coach Gary Patterson has apologized for using a racist slur while speaking to his team. These are sensitive, transforming times and the college footballer workforce has discovered their voice. Will Big 12 players reuse that voice in light of the shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old black man in Kenosha, Wisconsin? The interweaving of racial inequalities, COVID-19 and sports is a story that makes history.

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
