Cricket opens new location in Macomb – Western Courier
Cricket has a new location in Macomb and they hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.
The telephone carrier has opened its new location at 1710 E. Jackson Street across from Walmart. Cricket is one of the few phone service options in Macomb, but their service differs from the others.
Were the only contractless carrier that has an actual location, Ryan Elsila, said the director of indirect sales.
Elisila said this is important as it allows customers to get a better experience in the store. They want to focus on customer service while providing a low pressure environment for anyone looking for telephone service.

Brown and Elsila said they participated in blood drives, pet adoptions, parades, vendor events and more. Elsila cited an example of a food drive they participated in last year, where they collected over 500 pounds of food for the Central Illinois Community Food Bank.
Elsila said that Cricket has some of the best deals in the area and that they hope to provide affordable telephone service to everyone who needs it.
Cricket had previously been in the Macom area, however, they were located inside the local Gamestop. They decided to move into their own place because they wanted to focus on the phone service, instead of playing the second fiddle of video game consoles and games. Elsila said the Macomb location had some of the best results and that this had played a big part in their decision to open the store.
