Each week, since the start of the season, we have asked our readers to select the ice hockey player of the week.

This is the 12 week finale.

Last week, a season-high record of 57,000 votes or more was recorded with four players nominated by the coaches. Suffern senior Tom McCarren collected 26,726 for player of the week honors.

This week there are three nominees.

CJ Olsen, Suffern

The senior defender had two assists and played the save defense with multiple saves and blocks, while helping to limit ETBE to 12 shots, while constables defeated the Eagles 5-1 for win the Division 1 Division 1 Ice Hockey Championship.

J.P. Rosabella, ETBE

The Eastchester junior made 37 saves in the 11th seeded ETBE (Eastchester / Tuckahoe / Bronxville / Edgemont) 1-0 in the D2 semifinal against number 2 Mamaroneck. He then stopped 53 shots and kept Suffern, the top seed and top scorer in the state, until the end of the second period in a 5-1 defeat in the D1 ice hockey final .

Anabelle Thomas, rye

Thomas, the third week winner, allowed only one goal and made 26 saves (9.63%) in the playoff victories against third seeded Pelham and John Jay- Cross River, first seed. The latter was an upset victory by number 2 Rye for the Division 2 ice hockey championship.
