The salon, which is located in the former Ethel Austen store in Somerset Square in Nailsea, closed after being targeted by yobs.

A panel was placed in the establishment window explaining the decision.

The notice said: Unfortunately, due to improper use and vandalism of this unit, we must close this facility with immediate effect.

It is not the first time that the salon has had to close due to vandalism.

It was closed last year also after vandals moved screens and damaged the wall behind.

Tables were also damaged by people using bats to drill holes in them.

The show, which opened in August 2018, was open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and is a popular facility with young and old alike.

It was also used by many office workers and housed a table tennis club that met on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
