JUNIOR TENNIS. Kenya without fault against Tanzania and Burundi on the second day
Kenya was first held on the second day of the ongoing competition for the East African U-12 junior teams at the Lugogo Tennis Club, Kampala.
The perfect Kenyan day started with girls setting fire to field three with exciting tennis against Burundi as Taneisha Mosi outscored Noeme Ingabire (6 / 1.6 / 1), her counterpart Stacey Chepkemoi struggled in a tight first set before lighting the flames in the second set to beat Ines Irakoze (5/7, 6/1).
In doubles, the Kenyan pair defeated Yusra Irakoze and Inez (6/2, 6/2) to move to 3-0, ranking in pole position with a place in the playoffs now almost certain.
The Kenyan side continued in the boys' category with Zayanni Virani schooling Tanzanias Ali Hamisi (6/1, 6/0) in the first draw in singles on field four.
After the heroes of Viranis, his teammate Ruincliffe Ominde faced Japhet Panclass (6/4, 6/2) before having the Tanzanians in doubles (6/0, 6/1) with Hillary Ndosi coming for Tanzania and Brian Nyakundi for Kenya.

Ugandan boys only had the fall of Jilius Nyaata (6 / 2.6 / 1) against Sudans Mohammed Hamdan but Francis Angozebwa made up for the defeat of his counterparts with a victory (6 / 2.6 / 0 ) on Ahmed Adam Yhaya on the central court. The Burundian boys were in a bullish mood with 3-0 against the Seychelles.
