Samsung Eco remote control uses radio waves from Wi-Fi router to keep charging

Samsung manufactures remote controls that do not require battery replacement.

On Sunday, the electronics giant unveiled the latest eco-remote control, an eco-friendly remote control that uses recycled materials.

It also stays fully charged at all times. According to Samsung, the Eco Remote 2022 model draws power from the radio waves emitted by the Wi-Fi router to keep it charged.

The remote control will be available this year and will be available in black and white.

This is not Samsung’s first attempt to create a remote that eliminates the need for disposable batteries. Samsung’s 2021Q LED TV remote includes a solar panel that can be charged indoors or outdoors. You can also charge the remote control by connecting a USB-C cable.

The remote control is one of several devices Samsung announced prior to the launch of CES, one of the biggest events in the tech industry.
