Techweek's mission is to discover how connected New Zealand is
Techweek, New Zealand Festival of Technology and
innovation, wants to start a national conversation on the
technology has an impact on the daily lives of New Zealanders. It is
today launching a survey asking people to let them know how
many smart devices they have at home.

number of devices that can connect to the internet is

important to consider how this technology evolves New
New Zealand households and one of the first ways to do this is
to find out how many connected devices the Kiwis have, she

exponentially with the advent of smart homes. When

household functions such as room temperature and security

Gill recognizes that although many New Zealanders
have the opportunity to adopt new technologies,

The results of the survey will be published
during Techweek2020, 18 May 24. Techweek last year
attracted over 46,000 participants across the country to
hundreds of events that showcase technology and innovation.
This year's events include the University of Auckland
Mid-year show Technologys Creative Technologies,
Canterbury Tech is hosting a Pathways to Tech event in
Christchurch and Whnau Adventures in Tech, free software
