Pokemon Go Teases a New Mythical Pokemon

Pokemon Go gives players a ton of chances to catch legendary Pokémon this month. Not only is Thundurus now available in the game, but developer Niantic is bringing back a few other legendaries for special raid weekends throughout March, and it now looks like a new Mythical Pokémon is on its way.

The official Pokemon Go Twitter account recently shared a picture of fossilized footprints, teasing that "something mythical is happening." You can take a look at the image below.

While Niantic has yet to confirm the identity of the new Mythical Pokémon, the tweet and image likely refer to Genesect, one of the mythical monsters featured in fifth-generation episodes. from the series, Pokemon Black and White. Genesect is a Bug / Steel Pokémon from ancient times that has been revived and modified by Team Plasma, the evil group of Black and White, and its footprints match those of the image.

We don't yet know when the Teased Mythic Pokémon will arrive in Go, but a few more legendaries are now available. In addition to the aforementioned Thundurus, Niantic brought Registeel and Cresselia back to play before the inaugural season of the Go Battle League. The two legendaries are great in PvP battles, making them a good chance to add them to your Go Battle League teams.
