Uber announces new products for business travelers, wedding receptions and EVs

Uber today hosted its second annual product event. The event unveiled new features for business travelers, group rides and electric vehicles. The news comes from the company’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, renewing his efforts to make Ubers’ core ride hailing products profitable through cost savings and slow hiring.

Just because Uber is trying to keep costs down, it means stopping new features and expanding into new areas with ongoing efforts to attract (or retain current) new customers. It doesn’t mean that. To go anywhere, the company launches a new product called Uber Travel. This product automatically reserves car service trips for all elements of future travel, either business or personal. Users need to link Gmail to their Uber account and check the app algorithm for future flights, hotel stays, and restaurant reservations. Uber is a new product called the Uber Charter, which seeks to expand its long-standing interest in party buses.
