NIST Prize Challenge seeks an innovative incident command dashboard for public safety

In an emergency, first responders need to track assets, personnel, and other important information in an unfolding situation. The new NIST Awards Challenge encourages developers to improve these incident command dashboards.

Boulder, Colorado The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is launching a new prize contest to advance incident command dashboard technology that enables real-time tracking of assets, personnel, and objects of interest in the event of an emergency.

NIST brings together first responders, video analytics, indoor localization experts, public security experts, and participants through a command dashboard that integrates the next generation, or Commanding, Tech Challenge, to bring together incident command dashboards for public security.
