The sign of the future may be just one of the unquestionable taps. Companies are no longer just competing to participate in your social media feeds. Their ads may appear on the lock screen of your mobile phone.

Glance, a lockscreen advertising group, is preparing to launch across Android lockscreens in the United States in the coming months, tech outlet The Verge reports. Glance acts like a real-time screen saver and automatically sends content to your phone each time it’s turned on.

According to its website, the Glance Content Panel (called “Glance”) contains news, entertainment and games. According to the company, it has more than 200 million users in India and Southeast Asia. According to TechCrunch, the company has already partnered with most Android smartphone makers in Asia and is in talks with US wireless operators.

Google and Peter Thiel’s Mithril Capital are investors in the company, no traditional apps, but instead built into Android software. Headquartered in Singapore, Glance has worked with several major American companies such as Coca-Cola, Amazon, Netflix and KFC.

In addition to content that works like Instagram Stories and Snapchat ads, Glance works with virtual event creators and brands. In May, Glance launched Glance LIVE Fest. It claims to be “India’s largest digital carnival that provides a live and interactive experience.” According to the company, the event was available to more than 70 million users.
