Google’s default page for searching on the web is intuitive and easy to use. It has a prominently placed search bar and options to visit the page in different languages or switch to another Google service. Some people like the clean and simple look, but Google regularly changes the design and wants to use the white space for other purposes. In February, Google went a step further and added context cards to the home page. Some people say they’re seeing these cards again. This shows the potential for a wider rollout.
ANDROIDPOLICE VIDEO OF THE DAY
Earlier this year, we reported on six card-shaped widgets that appeared at the bottom of some people’s search homepages. Each widget gave me searchable information like weather, trends, what to watch, stocks, local events, COVID-19 news, and more. Hovering over a card expands it, but you can toggle it to hide it completely if you want. The card was on the home page for several days before disappearing.
Google’s test in February showed six new cards on the homepage
Based on a recent tweet, 9to5Google reports that cards are back with a new floating prompt titled “Meet the new Google.com.” You will be asked to sign in to unlock customization of your homepage widgets. This is now a square instead of the rectangle reported in February. After signing in, another window will open where you can select cards on the following topics:
Air Quality Cryptocurrency Stock Market Your Top Stock Events Weather Near You Trending Words Top Searches Stories Sports What to Watch
Interestingly, the card widget observed in February was rectangular (not rectangular as claimed in some reports). Google has also made some tweaks to the experience since we last saw it. The number of cards added seems to be dependent on the size of the screen. There is no way to scroll horizontally or vertically to view the rest of the cards.
Few people reported seeing the new home page experience in February, and it hasn’t appeared on our devices yet, so this is a traditional a I believe /b is a test. However, such tests usually portend a wider release.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
