Dubai-based mobility tech company NWTN delivers first batch of EVs

Green mobility technology company NWTN delivered 20 range-extended electric vehicles (R-EEV) to M93 Care Rental at its newly built facility in the Khalifa Special Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (KEZAD).

The delivery is in line with Dubai-headquartered NWTN’s plan to offer a range of innovative products and solutions to the UAE market to facilitate the region’s transition to sustainable energy. .

The 20 R-EEVs were the first batch of vehicles slated to be delivered to local customers in the coming months.

Shahram Parvizi, Chairman and CEO of M93 Car Rental, said this is the first time the company has introduced an EV into its fleet. “This is in line with our country’s green energy transformation initiative and we are very proud to be an active participant in it.

The KEZAD assembly facility is NWTN’s first facility in the UAE. The facility will enable NWTN to conduct semi-knockdown production with a higher rate of software and hardware localization and upgrades to meet local market needs.

The KEZAD assembly facility is currently in the final stages of equipment installation and commissioning and is expected to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2023.
