Apple is reportedly set to introduce its most anticipated AR/VR mixed reality headset in 2023, and the company has been working on it all along. A report from Bloomberg gives some details about its features, interface and how it works.
Apple’s mixed reality headset, dubbed the Reality Pro, will reportedly look similar to the iOS interface. A mixed reality headset can also act as an external display for your connected Mac. Mac users can see the display in VR and control the Mac with a physical keyboard and trackpad/mouse. Similar to iPhones and iPads, the headset has a home screen with app icons and customizable widgets.
Apple’s mixed reality headsets feature eye-hand tracking tools that allow external cameras to analyze the user’s hands and eyes. The headset can be controlled by looking at and selecting items on the screen, and the wearer can activate items on the screen with gestures.
The headset can switch from AR to VR and vice versa as needed. The AR feature works in a transitional mode that uses the headset’s external camera, and switching between AR and VR is done with a Digital Crown-like control knob.
Video conferencing with headsets gets a big twist with Apple offering a FaceTime-based video chat interface. The wearer’s physical attire, including face and body, is rendered in VR for meetings, along with an avatar that can be used for one-on-one interactions. FaceTime uses icons such as Memoji during interactive sessions with multiple participants.
Apple has partnered with Disney and Dolby on media content to update Apple TV+ shows and movies to sync with your headset.
Apps include regular apps like Safari, Photos, Mail, Messages, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Podcasts, Calendar, and a dedicated App Store. Siri can be used for text input, just like your iPhone, iPad, or Mac keyboard. Additionally, Apple is working on an Air Typing feature, but it is far from ready for launch.
Apple will also offer custom lenses that fit inside the housing. In the ears, the headset already has built-in speakers, but Apple is offering headset wearers to use his AirPods as well.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
