Instagram reportedly working on paid verification subscriptions like Twitter Blue

Meta-owned Instagram is said to be working on a subscription service similar to Twitter Blue. A popular photo-sharing social media app is working on a paid verification service, according to a recent code snippet spotted by developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

According to Paluzzi, words like Paid, Blue, and Badge appear in Instagram’s code snippet, so it’s possible the feature is actually coming soon.

However, there has been no official announcement from Meta, Facebook, or Instagram, so the feature may change, evolve, or not come at all in the future.
