Google Bard, Google’s answer to ChatGPT, published
Google Bard is outsort. Google says you can now join a waiting list to try out the company’s generative AI chatbot on his newly launched bard.google.com site. The company will use “Bard” instead of the “Google Assistant” chatbot branding it used previously. There isn’t much right now other than a signup link and an FAQ.
Google’s blog post calls Bard an “early experiment,” and the project is covered in warning labels. The bard site has a bright blue “” label to the right of its logo, and the blog post states, “Large language models don’t always get it right. Feedback from a wide range of experts and users It will help improve the bard,” warns. A disclaimer below the demo input box warns that “Bard may display inaccurate or offensive information that does not represent the views of Google.”
Microsoft has been criticized for taking a very aggressive stance on AI deployments, even cutting its AI ethics team. According to Google, Bard “can boost your productivity, accelerate your ideas, and spark your curiosity. Explaining physics in simple terms and blog posts.” In the FAQ, Bard warns that “I can’t help you code yet,” and the app’s “ability to preserve context is intentionally limited at this time.” I warn you.
