Dragon Quest 11 is coming to Xbox this December

Square Enix’s acclaimed Dragon Quest XI is here on Xbox. Publisher announced before today’s Xbox showcase event. The game will be available on December 4th on Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

The latest addition to the beloved JRPG series, Dragon Quest XI casts players in the role of Luminary, the reincarnation of a legendary hero destined to save the Kingdom of Eldoraia from the forces of darkness. The Xbox version is based on Switch’s Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition and features rerecorded music, the option to play adventures in 2D, and other enhancements.

In addition to the Xbox, Square Enix has confirmed that it will also bring the Dragon Quest XI S to PS4 and Steam. The original version of the game was previously released on both platforms, but this is the first time the Definitive Edition is available.

Dragon Quest XI was originally released on PS4 in 2017, and the aforementioned Switch version continues in 2019. The game was awarded 9/10 in the first Dragon Quest XI review.
