Recently, an internal Google database containing six years' worth of potential privacy violations and security issues was obtained, revealing that Google employees used their access to watch private YouTube videos uploaded by Nintendo and then leaked the details online.

404 Media reported on June 3 that it had received a copy of a massive database created by Google. The database contains thousands of employee reports documenting various security and privacy issues regarding customer data and content. According to the media, all information in the database was tracked from 2013 to 2018. The database includes allegations that Google accidentally recorded hundreds of children's conversations, accidentally used Google Street View to catalog and store thousands of license plates, and made some Google Docs and Drive files public when it did not intend to make them public. How the 2017 Yoshi game got leaked

404 Media followed up by reporting that in 2017, a contractor with administrative privileges who previously worked for Google used those privileges to download and watch an unreleased trailer for a then-unnamed Yoshi game. The trailer was private on Nintendo's YouTube channel. The contractor shared a screenshot of the trailer with a friend, who posted it to Reddit, where it was found by another Google employee, who then reported the incident internally.
