A software engineer and in-house career coach who works at Google shared her perspective on the company's culture on LinkedIn, where she cited one thing she learned at the company that helped her get ahead in her job.

She writes that one thing she learned from Google's culture was to “assume good intentions.” In the next line, she adds that about five years into her career as a software engineer, she found it hard to digest feedback at work. But at Google, she came to value one principle that was deeply ingrained in the company's culture: “assume good intentions.”

“From this perspective, I became more accepting of my current situation and more collaborative with my team. This approach really fostered a desire to grow and a deep respect for my team,” she added.

Her post caught the attention of many, including Google, who responded to her LinkedIn post with a heart emoji.
