The difference between the Tensor G3 currently used in the Pixel 8 series, including the Pixel 8a, and the upcoming Tensor G4 is primarily in the number of cores: the G3 has nine cores, while the G4 has eight. Additionally, the Tensor G4 is said to have a faster clock speed than its predecessor.

Previous speculation had suggested that Google might equip the Pixel 9 Pro XL with 16GB of RAM, presumably to beef up the phone's capabilities for the upcoming AI features expected in this new generation, and this latest leak adds even more weight to that expectation.
