Alternative Google VPN services still unavailable for some Pixel owners

Some Pixel users have reported issues with their VPN By Google service, which replaces the discontinued VPN By Google One service, and some of these users are waiting for a June update from their carriers.

Google confirmed a while back that it would be shutting down its VPN By Google One service on June 20 (yesterday), and Pixel owners have been getting a replacement service called VPN by Google since June 3. Unfortunately, it seems some users are having issues with this replacement service.

Several Pixel owners have pointed out on Reddit that the new VPN By Google service isn't working or showing up, meaning that these users don't have access to the original VPN by Google One service or alternative options, and will have to use a different VPN service for their needs.

The issue appears to be affecting the Pixel 7 series (including the Pixel 7a) and Pixel 8 series, but may also affect Pixel Fold owners.

Either way, some Reddit users who took part in the thread noted that their phones hadn't yet received the June update from their carriers, but several others said that they had received the update but still couldn't access the VPN By Google service.
