Android 14 QPR3 June update rolling out to T-Mobile, Google Fi

About two weeks after the update was announced, Android 14 QPR3 with the June 2024 Feature Drop will begin rolling out to Pixel phones on T-Mobile, including on Google Fi.

The update was expected to happen on Monday, June 3rd, as that date was mentioned in a support document related to Google One's deprecation of the VPN. However, it was actually announced eight days later, on Tuesday.

The update was rolled out to some users in the US on June 11, but not to Verizon or T-Mobile customers. Verizon's update was released last week with the same global build (AP2A.240605.024), and T-Mobile Pixel owners will see it as an 894MB OTA on June 24.

However, on June 18, Google released a specific build (AP2A.240605.024.A1) for Australian telecommunications operator Telus.

While QPR3 only saw a few visual tweaks, much of the Feature Drop announcement came as app updates and was also rolled out to QPR2.

However, DisplayPort support for Pixel 8+ and Gemini Nano (8 + 8a) requires Android 14 QPR3, see here for details on bug fixes.

This update comes one week before July and its monthly updates.
